Westminster City Council (WCC) selected ATEC as a specialist in public space security systems, to fully support and maintain its system thoroughly, cost-effectively and achieve operational objectives. ATEC maintains CCTV units located in extremely busy areas in the heart of London, such as the West End, Oxford Street, Regent Street, Leicester Square and Belgravia, as well as the central control room. ATEC also maintains a variety of transmission services; digital recording, voice communications with Police and Wardens, and gate and barrier controls in Leicester Square.
ATEC provides WCC with its ultra rapid response service. 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the year, an ATEC engineer is on the scene within one hour in an emergency. With the CCTV units located in areas of dense population and activity, ATEC is able to carry out the work within tight timescales and with minimum public disturbance.
"ATEC Security has proved once again to be a seriously competitive force in the field of public space surveillance. They genuinely care about their customers; from the very start of an installation right through to ongoing maintenance services.” Trevor Aver, The Aver Consulting Sola Consulting Partnership - retained consultants to Westminster City Council.
Rob Saunders, Policy and Performance Manager, Community Protection WCC explains, “Having successfully completed a very demanding tender process, ATEC demonstrated to Westminster City Council that they could deliver a first class service and work in partnership with our stakeholders and key enforcement agencies. As part of that process, we felt that ATEC provided the highest quality service and customer care and continue to do so as part of our ongoing relationship.
“To offer such a rapid response service is unheard of in the heart of London. What really impressed Westminster City Council is the degree of co-operation and drive that ATEC apply to their work. We now have an improved CCTV system and control centre that continually monitors extremely busy areas of public space across the borough and this can be attributed to the work undertaken by ATEC.”
ATEC will be maintaining CCTV units in areas such as the West End, Regent Street and Belgravia.
