Security for logistics, rail and transport
Detection, surveillance, ANPR and access control across depots, yards, stations and open infrastructure, brought into one control room so the sites you cannot staff are still being watched.
Most of your operation is somewhere else
A loaded trailer sits in a layby all night because there was nowhere else to stop. A cable run goes for miles with nobody near it. A yard stands empty until five in the morning. You are responsible for all of it, across a large estate.
Loads taken quietly while the driver sleeps
NaVCIS logged 3,424 HGV and cargo crime reports across England and Wales in 2025, roughly nine a day, with cost-price losses put at £65.1m. Almost three quarters of the reports came from independent parking locations and motorway services, which is where drivers have to stop because there is nowhere secure to park.
Trailers driven off your own yard without anyone noticing
A tractor unit on cloned plates turns up at a quiet or lightly staffed yard, hitches a loaded trailer and drives it out through the gate. NaVCIS recorded 176 of these hook-up thefts in 2025 and says the number is climbing. Most freight losses run to tens of thousands, but a full trailer of the right commodity is a six-figure loss.
Miles of rural rail track with nobody near it
In 2025, 102 cable thefts caused 104,737 minutes of rail delays at a cost of about £5.1m, up sharply on the year before as the copper price climbed. Trespass runs at more than 19,000 recorded incidents a year on top of that. A cut cable stops trains until the line has been checked, so a theft worth £1000 in scrap delays a route for hours.
How ATEC protects the transportation sector
Watch the places you cannot staff
Every depot, yard, station and remote compound reports into one control room. A site four hundred miles away is handled exactly like the one outside the window. The network behind it is built with resilient links and monitored failover. Adding a site later is a configuration job, not a rebuild.
Be notified before the load moves
Detection on the boundary and thermal across the trailer park pick people up as they arrive. With a few weeks of well-tuned analytics and traffic on the live site, we can separate someone loitering along a curtain line from a driver walking straight to a cab, so the alert goes out while the load is still there.
Check the unit before it takes the trailer
ANPR reads every unit at the barrier and checks it against the movements you are actually expecting. A plate with no booking behind it does not get waved through. Driver credentials control which bays open, and an alert can be raised when a trailer moves at a time nothing is due out.
Eyes along the line and the lineside
Compounds, sidings and cable runs can be covered by thermal and analytics on their own power, linked back wirelessly where there is nothing to plug into, with no trench and no mains. An alert reaches the control room while somebody is still on the other side of the fence.
