Simply Better Security

Cloud access control, now merged with Eagle Eye Networks

Brivo pioneered cloud-based access control in the early 2000s and merged with Eagle Eye Networks, the cloud video surveillance specialist, in December 2025. The combined company operates under the Brivo name, led by Dean Drako, and secures over one billion square feet of property across 80 countries.

Why does ATEC partner with Brivo?

Doors that keep working through an Internet outage

Since the Eagle Eye Networks merger, cloud access control and cloud video come from one company on one platform. Brivo controllers hold hundreds of thousands of credentials locally, so doors continue to operate through an internet outage, and no on-premise server is required at any site.

Brivo's strengths in detail

Access control and video from one company

The December 2025 merger with Eagle Eye Networks brought cloud access control and cloud video surveillance into a single business under the Brivo name. Both products come from one supplier under one support arrangement. A customer runs door control and camera review from a single platform and one login.

Doors work through an outage and hold credentials in memory

Brivo controllers hold hundreds of thousands of credentials in local memory and continue making access decisions when the internet connection is unavailable. Cloud access control does not depend on a permanent link to operate a door. This addresses the most frequent objection raised against cloud-based access systems.

Controllers options perfectly sized to the site

The range covers the ACS100 for a single door, the ACS300 for one or two doors, and the ACS6000 supporting up to 30 readers on larger properties. Hardware is specified to the door count actually present. Panel costs on a small site stay proportionate to the number of doors being controlled.

Existing readers can be retained

Brivo controllers support OSDP over RS-485 and Wiegand reader formats, and are UL tested against a range of standard readers from HID, Identiv, Allegion and others. Readers already fitted can normally stay in place. A migration to cloud access control proceeds without replacing hardware at every door.

Cloud based user records and controller firmware

Access policies, user records and controller firmware are held and managed in the cloud, so no on-premise server is installed or maintained at any location. Multi-site customers avoid server hardware, operating system patching and local backups. Administration is carried out through a browser or the mobile application.

Eagle Eye Video and AI analytics

The Eagle Eye Networks side of the business contributes cloud video management with AI analytics, developed over more than a decade of dedicated cloud video work. Video and access events are correlated within the same platform. An operator reviews footage against a door event without moving between two systems.
