Security for airports and aircraft manufacturing

Perimeter intrusion detection, airside access control, ANPR, surveillance and a single control-room view, for airports that can’t afford to close and manufacturers that can’t afford to stop the line.

One sighting and the airfield stops

It does not take a breach. If someone reports a drone near the approach, movements are suspended, aircraft are diverted and the cost climbs into millions before anyone has established whether there was a legitimate threat. Gatwick lost 33 hours and around 1000 flights in December 2018. Almost nothing else in the country can be shut down this easily, or cheaply.

Passes need to be up to date and open the right doors

An airport runs on passes held by airlines, handlers, retailers and contractors you do not employ, tens of thousands of them at a major hub. Someone with a legitimate reason to be airside reaches places no outsider could. Your access control system decides what a pass can actually open, and the two drift apart the moment somebody changes role.

Aviation-2

Miles of perimeter and the need to see all of it

A fence breach or a trespasser on the apron halts movements immediately, and the ground under the approach is exactly where somebody would stand to fly something over your airfield. That ground sits inside the Flight Restriction Zone, so anyone flying there has already broken the law before the sighting is called in.

Every aircraft part has to be accounted for

On the manufacturing side, traceability is the product. EN 9100 expects you to show where a part came from and where it went, and to keep counterfeit or suspect material out and quarantined until it is dispositioned. A missing component, or a store nobody can prove was controlled, is a finding waiting to be written up, by the certification body or auditor.

How ATEC protects the aviation sector

Fast answers, from a single interface

When a report comes in, the only question that matters is how fast you can tell what is real. A PSIM, or physical security information management platform pulls cameras, doors, ANPR and analytics into one control room, and puts the procedure on screen alongside the alarm. One operator can check the approach, the fence line and the gate from a single screen.

Control what every pass can do

Access control governs every door into the Security Restricted Area and its Critical Part, with each pass limited to what that role genuinely needs and withdrawn the day the job ends rather than the day somebody remembers. Analytics and door contacts catch tailgating at the reader, and every badge event is bookmarked against the camera above it.

Hold the boundary and the approaches

Perimeter intrusion detection covers the fence line where nobody is standing, and analytics tell the difference between somebody climbing, a fox and a gust of wind, which reduces false alarms. ANPR covers the estate roads and car parks that ring the airfield. A vehicle that keeps returning to the same quiet spot on the approach reads as a pattern rather than a one-off.

Prove where every part has been

For aircraft part manufacturers, access control keeps stores, tool cribs, quarantine areas, export-controlled bays and the shop floor to the people whose job needs them, logging every entry. Cameras cover goods in, goods out and the quarantine cage. When an auditor asks how you know a part was controlled, you can show them rather than tell them.
